ABOUT
Born 1998, New York
Fiona Krugolets is an artist currently living and working in Brooklyn New York. Her work expresses an ongoing curiosity and interest in her bright and vibrant community. Exploring the historical presence of Brighton Beach and Coney Island as a haven for slavic immigration as well as the community’s long standing cultural landscape for family fun is a relationship that is being constantly explored in her work. Taking inspiration from the shapes, forms, and colorful energy of her neighborhood is something that is translated into her artistic search and painting process. Krugolets is inspired by architectural forms such as the Wonder Wheel to mid century modern playgrounds, as well as landscape photos taken in the neighborhood. She aims to connect the past, present, and future of South Brooklyn in her work.
